All the work, if you can call shopping and coordinating outfits work, had paid off. I got the email yesterday from Claire that our images were done from our engagement session.
I was riding home from the gym with a friend when I got the message and decided that rather then frantically scan through the images on my phone, I would methodically wait until I got home so Justin and I could look through them together.
"Come over here when you can" I said, as he wandered to my side of the monitor inquisitively. He had that quirky smile he gets when he knows I'm up to something. We sat there together, in one chair, scrolling and scrolling through the images. At more than one point I threw my arms up over my head and giggled. Pointed at the monitor and howled. She did exactly EXACTLY what I wanted. She made us look awesome. That was my premium requirement out of a photographer. HA!
As we oooed and ahhhed at each collection of shots, I consciously reminded myself to remember that moment. Because we don't get many of those traditional, 'couple-about-to-get-married' moments, I wanted to reallly remember this one. It was almost up there with getting my diploma, or the keys to our apartment in NYC, even up there with the moment he asked and I said yes. Here we were... looking at our selves still in love 6ish years later, operating a business together where we photograph couples in the same manner....it was just surreal how overwhelmingly wonderful the moment was. And I could tell by Justin's face he felt the same.
He said how pretty I was.
And pretty girls can get away with anything.
Which explains why I am alive to type this message after I disconnected our TV system and rearranged our entire downstairs living space while he was away at class last night.
If you know Justin, you know NOONE touches his electronics. HEHE.
Happy Friday and have a great, great weekend!!!!
I love this photo! Where was it taken?
