A military engagement session...Katie + Levi = Engaged.

"Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough."
This quote is what Katie posted on facebook the days before her love would begin his journey.
I asked Levi at the session how long he and Katie had been together and his sweet and simple response; "A year or so, not long, but long enough."
They were contagious with flirtation and sparkling in the cold winter sun with warmth for each other. It's the Levi and Katie's in the world that make me love love, and love people but especially love my job. We never met, never even spoke before this day, and they showed up and gave me the best gift ever, they gave me everything I've ever wanted in a shoot and in a client. They laughed, they flirted, they knew what they wanted and had reason to do whatever it took to get it. And...they rocked it.

And if Levi weren't about to travel half way across the world, I think we might invite them on a double date. But don't worry Katie, girl...I make a good coffee date any time. :-)

Bless you both.

I kind of love this one...but...

this one is powerful.

This one of Katie making Levi cheese might be my favorite!

The one with the two of them kissing is my favorite...with his hand on her neck/jaw. But every shot on the railroad tracks is AMAZING! Great shoot Mallory!
